Increase In Industrial Production Continues

ANKARA - Industrial production increased by 11.7 percent in June, 2003 when compared to June, 2002.
State Institute of Statistics (SIS) declared on Friday that manufacturing industry production increased by 12.8 percent, mining industry production decreased by 5.6 percent, electricity, gas and water production increased by 8.2 percent, in June of 2003, over to the same period of the previous year.
The statement released by SIS noted that total industrial production increased by 7.6 percent, and mining industry decreased by 14.8 percent, manufacturing industry increased by 8.7 percent, and electricity, gas and water industry increased by 7.7 percent in six months of 2003, over to the same period of the previous year.
