ANKARA - The total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks increased 572 million U.S. dollars to 64 billion 889 million U.S. dollars between July 18-25, 2003.
According to Central Bank's provisional statistics, total foreign exchange deposit accounts at banks was 64 billion 317 million U.S. dollars on July 18.
The foreign exchange deposits increased 211 million U.S. dollars to 49 billion 243 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
The total internal foreign exchange deposits increased 249 million U.S. dollars to 46 billion 975 million U.S. dollars while external foreign exchange deposits decreased 38 million U.S. dollars to 2 billion 268 million U.S. dollars in the same period.
Meanwhile, total foreign exchange deposits at the interbank market increased 2 million U.S. dollars to 374 million U.S. dollars.
The foreign exchange deposits with letter of credit and super foreign exchange accounts decreased 165 million U.S. dollar to 15 billion 482 million U.S. dollars between July 25 and August 1, 2003.
