ANKARA - Turkey's current account deficit rose 24.1 percent to 3.058 billion USD in March 2006 over the same month of 2005.
Turkish Central Bank released on Tuesday its report about balance of payments developments for March 2006.
According to the bank's statistics, foreign trade deficit increased 19.2 percent to 3.2 billion USD while net tourism incomes reduced 3.9 percent to 545 million USD in March.
On the other hand, current account deficit rose 39.2 percent from 6.1 billion USD in the January-March period of 2005 to 8.6 billion USD in the same period 2006.
