Three People Staged Attack On Security Point In Mardin

MARDIN - Mardin Police Department said on Thursday that three people staged the attack on the security point in southeastern province of Mardin on Wednesday in which two policemen were killed and another was injured.
A statement of the Police Department said that the three assailants ran away on foot after the attack which was staged around 10.15 p.m. on Wednesday.
The statement noted that three unidentified assailants hurled hand grenade on the security point and then opened fire on policemen, killing two policemen and injuring another.
The injured policeman was taken under medical treatment in state hospital in Mardin, the statement pointed out.
The statement said that operations were under way to capture the assailants while some suspicious people were detained.
