Aksu: 444 People Have Applied To Benefit From Reassociation Law

ANKARA - Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu stated on Thursday that 444 people, including 333 inmates and 111 who surrendered to security forces, had applied to benefit from the Reassociation Law which entered into force on Wednesday.
Aksu held a press conference on the Reassociation Law.
When he was recalled about the claims that ''a delegation of Democratic People's Party (DEHAP) would go to north of Iraq and meet with the terrorist organization PKK and mediate between Turkey and PKK,'' Aksu said that these were just rumors.
Asked if ''sending the leaders of the terrorist organization to Sweden or Norway was in question'', Aksu said that they were all speculation and opened to discussion by the organization.
When asked ''if the bomb attacks staged in southeastern Mardin province on Wednesday and in Ankara and Istanbul the previous days were individual attacks or reaction to the law,'' Aksu said, ''those who stage these attacks are the same organizations. A majority of these attacks are reactions to this law. The terrorist organization carried out many activities to prevent adoption of this law. Later, it increased its attacks.''
