ANKARA - Railway between Turkey, Syria and Iraq which has been close since February 27, 2003 due to war was reopened as of August 1, 2003.
Directorate General of State Railways (TCDD) said in a statement on Wednesday that a protocol for reopening the railway was signed between TCDD and Iraqi Railways on July 30, 2003.
According to the protocol, TCDD's trains will travel to Iraq via Syria four days a week.
