FOREIGN MINISTER GUL: ''WE EXAMINE THE ISSUE FROM POLITICAL POINT OF VIEW''
ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Tuesday that risk analysis were made in military and political means regarded with Turkey's participation to coalition forces in Iraq.
Gul made a brief statement regarded with Iraq summit held in prime ministry today.
Underlining the importance of the issue, Gul said the summit was a preliminary study, and that military and political evaluations were made.
Gul said what happened in Iraq had closely concerned Turkey, noting that, ''Iraq's reaching stability, its normalization soon, coming of civilian administration to ruling, and Iraq people's using their own sources would also have benefits on Turkey.''
Gul said all those were evaluated, and that it was the duty of the government to examine the issue in the very best way. He said, ''General Staff will obviously make risk analysis in security and military means. We make the examinations in political means.''
