ISTANBUL - Turkish and African businessmen should make use of the potential and opportunities, Turkish State Minister & chief negotiator Ali Babacan said on Sunday.
Meeting ministers of some African countries and businessmen in Turkish metropolis of Istanbul, Babacan indicated that 9.7 billion USD of foreign capital flew in Turkey last year, and expected a higher foreign capital inflow this year.
Babacan stated that Turkey and Africa have a great cooperation potential, and added that the current trade volume is not reflecting this potential.
On the other hand, Equatorial Guinea's Minister of Economy, Commerce, & Promotion Jaime Ela Ndong invited Turkish businessmen to invest in his country, while Niger's Minister of Commerce, Industry & Promotion of the Private Sector Habi Mahamadou Salissou noted that he wanted to see more Turkish businessmen in Africa.
