ANKARA - Turkey has become one of the most distinguished golf centers in the world.
Christophe Muniesa, director of French National Golf Federation, said on Sunday that they were getting ready to cooperate with Turkish Golf Federation.
Noting that the European Men's Golf Championship would be held in Istanbul between October 13th and 15th, Muniesa said that some hotels in Belek hamlet in the southern Turkish city of Antalya had golf courses having the European standards.
He added that Turkey would become a golf destination in near future.
Meanwhile, French IMG Mac Cormack Company will organize this year's Prof. Dr. Kaya Cilingiroglu Golf Tournament at Antalya's Gloria Golf Resort between May 11th and 14th.
French, British and Scottish are expected to participate in the tournament. IMG Mac Cormack officials said that the tournament would become an international sports event with participation of foreign golfers.
