Inflation Rates In July

ANKARA - The State Institute of Statistics (SIS) announced on Sunday that wholesale prices decreased 0.5 percent in July when compared with June while the decrease in consumer prices was 0.4 percent.
The annual inflation in wholesale prices index (WPI) was announced as 25.6 percent and it was 27.4 percent in consumer prices index (CPI) in July.
SIS said that seven-month inflation rate was 10.9 percent in wholesale prices and 11.6 percent in consumer prices.
Meanwhile, according to 12-month averages as of July 2003, annual inflation rate was 33.8 percent in wholesale prices and 30.7 percent in consumer prices.
Price increase in the private sector of manufacturing industry which is called core inflation rate became 0.5 percent in July.
In the same period last year, annual inflation rate was 69.1 percent in wholesale prices and 58.4 percent in consumer prices.
