Supreme Military Council Starts Its Third-day Meeting

ANKARA - Supreme Military Council (YAS) started on Sunday its third-day meeting.
The YAS meeting in which promotions of generals, admirals and colonels and retirement of officers due to lack of cadre are taken up will also continue today.
National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul will host luncheon and President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and his wife Semra Sezer will host a reception and dinner in honor of the members of the Council.
YAS meeting will end on Monday.

National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul hosted on Sunday luncheon in honor of members of Supreme Military Council (YAS).
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Chief of General Staff Hilmi Ozkok and other members of YAS attended the luncheon hosted on the third day of the YAS meeting.
Promotions of generals, admirals and colonels and retirement of officers due to lack of cadre were taken up in the meeting.
President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and his wife Semra Sezer will host dinner in honor of YAS members and their spouses today.
Decisions taken in the meeting will be presented to President Sezer for approval after they are signed by Prime Minister Erdogan.
General Staff Secretariat General will announce YAS decisions at 11.30 a.m. on Monday.
