BURSA - Automotive exports from Bursa province rose by 58.4 percent to 4 billion U.S. dollars in January-July 2003 when compared with the same period of the previous year.
According to figures of Uludag Exporter Unions, exports from automotive sector were around 2 billion 529 million 552 thousand U.S. dollars in January-July 2002.
Exports of by-industry increased 28.5 percent to 1 billion 358 million 85 thousand U.S. dollars in the mentioned period. Exports of by-industry products were ranked the first in automotive exports of Bursa in this period.
Automotive exports from Bursa were made to 13 free zones, 159 countries and autonomous regions in the mentioned period.
Germany was ranked the first among export centers of Bursa with 663 million 732 thousand U.S. dollars while Italy, France, Spain and Britain followed it.
