ANKARA - Turkish Treasury Undersecretary Ibrahim Halil Canakci left for India on Thursday to attend the 39th annual meeting of Asian Development Bank Board of Governors.
Canakci is expected to return to Turkey on May 7th.
Manila-based Asian Development Bank is a multilateral development financial institution owned by 65 members, 47 from the region and 18 from other parts of the globe.
Turkey has been a member of the Asian Development Bank since 1991.
The Asian Development Bank's vision is a region free of poverty. Its mission is to help its developing member countries reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of their citizens.
The 38th annual meeting of Board of Governors was held in Istanbul last year with the participation of nearly 2,500 people.
