ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Ali Babacan will leave Thessalonica, Greece for Brussels on Thursday to attend a meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) of the EU.
Babacan represented Turkey at yesterday's foreign ministers' meeting of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) in Thessalonica.
ECOFIN meeting will begin in Brussels on Friday.
The meeting in Brussels is an opportunity for finance ministers and central bank governors to discuss the economic opportunities and challenges that the EU faces in the context of rapid global economic change.
Babacan is expected to return to Turkey on Friday.
