ANKARA - Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced on Wednesday that consumer prices rose by 1.34 percent and producer prices rose by 1.94 percent in April of 2006.
As of April, annual inflation became 8.83 percent in consumer prices and 4.96 percent in producer prices.
Inflation rates in the first four months of the year were calculated as 2.60 percent in producer prices and 4.46 percent in consumer prices.
12-month inflation rates as of April were 8.11 percent in consumer prices, and 4.09 percent in producer prices.
