ISTANBUL - Clash erupted between a group of students and security forces at the Istanbul University on Wednesday.
A group of 300 students held a demonstration to protest tender for the dining hall at the university.
They called on authorities to cancel the tender and provide free and qualified meal for students.
Security forces intervened in the group by using tear-gas and clubs. Meanwhile, protestors threw bottles, eggs and stones at security forces.
Six people were detained.
