THESSALONICA - Turkish State Minister & Chief Negotiator for EU talks Ali Babacan is in Thessalonica to assist the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) meeting which starts today.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend the 9th Heads of State & Government Summit of SEECP tomorrow.
Participants will discuss regional cooperation, integration of South East European countries to EU, as well as political dialogue in tomorrow's summit.
Meanwhile, Turkish Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim will arrive in Thessalonica tonight and sign an agreement which envisions improvement of railway transportation in South East Europe.
Prime Minister Erdogan will meet Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis tomorrow.
Representatives from Greece, Turkey, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia-Montenegro, Macedonia and (observer country) Moldova will attend the summit.
