ANKARA - The foreign trade quantity index rose by 8 percent in exports and 6.2 percent in 6.2 percent in May 2003.
A statement of the Institute of State Statistics (SIS), the price indices fell by 1.5 percent in exports while rose by 0.3 percent in imports in May 2003 when compared with the previous month.
The quantity indices increased by 21.5 percent in exports and 21.6 percent in imports in May 2003 when compared with May 2002.
By the average of 12 month periods, export quantity index increased by 17.3 percent, import quantity index by 24.3 percent, export price index by 5.4 percent, and import price index by 7.2 percent, respectively.
