ANKARA - Emin Sirin, an MP from Istanbul, resigned from the Motherland Party (ANAVATAN) on Wednesday.
Sirin said, ''I am resigning from ANAVATAN since making politics in a party which described the terrorist organization as ''guerilla'' and failed to pursue a consistent policy particularly on inseparable integrity of the country contradicts my understanding of politics, constitution and democracy.''
Following the resignation of Sirin, number of ANAVATAN's seats in the parliament dropped to 21.
