ANKARA - Reliant Mermaid-VI exercise, in which naval and air elements of Turkey, Israel and the United States will participate, will be practiced in international waters of Eastern Mediterranean in August.
General Staff Headquarters Secretariat General stated on Wednesday that Turkey would host Reliant Mermaid-VI Search and Rescue Exercise for Humanitarian Aid.
Turkey will participate in the exercise with two frigates, two coast guard boats, two helicopters and one search and rescue aircraft, while a total of four vessels, five helicopters and two search and rescue aircrafts will take part from the United States and Israel.
According to the statement, a press conference would be held regarding the exercise in Aksaz/Marmaris Naval Base on August 12 and the exercise would be made on August 13.
