ANKARA - State Minister Guldal Aksit received on Wednesday Mongolian Ambassador to Turkey Panidjunai Khaliun.
Aksit said in the meeting that bilateral relations would be further improved.
Pointing out that Turkey was undergoing an important process, Aksit said that on one hand European Union (EU) process was accelerated by laws; on the other hand, necessary initiatives aiming to increase prosperity were being made.
Aksit stated that they wanted to carry out joint projects with Mongolian government.
Recalling that Turkey was one of the first countries which signed international conventions about women, Aksit said that unless the bill on Establishment of General Directorate of Women's Status and Problems was brought onto agenda of Parliamentary General Assembly within two days, it would surely be passed in October.
Khaliun hoped that economic and cultural relations between two countries would be improved.
They wanted to make cooperation with Turkey in issues concerning women and family, which were two sensitive issues, Khaliun said.
As Khaliun invited Aksit to Mongolia, Aksit said that she accepted the invitation and said that she would be pleased to host her Mongolian counterpart in Turkey.
