Erdogan Says It Is Not Certain Whether Decision On Sending Soldiers To Iraq Will Be Delayed After Recess Of Parliament

ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that it was not certain whether or not a decision on sending soldiers to Iraq would be delayed after recess of the parliament, adding that they would assess it according to the agenda.
Prior to his departure for Istanbul, Erdogan replied to questions of reporters at Ankara's Esenboga Airport.
When a reporter recalled that Chief of General Staff Ozkok and he had a meeting on Tuesday and asked how Turkish military approached sending soldiers to Iraq, Erdogan said, ''both foreign minister and also the government spokesman made necessary statements on those issues. When it is necessary, I will make a statement. We have not such a thing in our agenda now.''
When a reporter said that there was an information that he would chair the Supreme Military Council (YAS) for four days and asked whether he would chair the council, Erdogan said, ''if I attend the council, I will chair it.''
