ANKARA - International Monetary Fund (IMF) experts will arrive in Turkey on Friday (May 5th) for discussions under the third review of the stand-by deal, sources said on Monday.
According to sources, the delegation will be headed by IMF Turkey Mission Chief Lorenzo Giorgianni who will firstly have talks with executives of the Banks Association of Turkey and the private banks in Istanbul.
The delegation is expected to proceed to Ankara on May 8th or 9th.
IMF experts who are expected to stay in Turkey for 15 days, will focus on macro-economic developments, public finance, and progress in structural reforms during their talks with Turkish executives.
The delegation will prepare a report after its talks in Turkey, and present it to the IMF management.
The IMF Executive Board is expected to meet after this report is prepared, and complete the third review.
