IZMIR - Prominent jazz vocalist Diane Schuur will give a concert in western city of Izmir on May 18th.
Tulay Zengul, representative from Izmir Philharmony Foundation, told reporters, ''the concert will be held in Ismet Inonu Art Center on May 18th. She will perform her old songs as well as songs from her latest album 'Schuur Fire' in the concert. Famous musicians like Scott Steed, Duane Jackson and Rodney Thomas Fleeman will accompany Schuur during her performance.''
Diane Schuur's interpretative powers and her legendary three-and-a-half octave vocal range have earned her the title of ''the new First Lady of jazz,'' five Grammy nominations and two Grammy awards.
Her latest album ''Schuur Fire'' includes James Taylor's ''Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight'', Duran Duran's ''Ordinary World'', Stevie Wonder's ''As'', Frank Sinatra's ''More Than You Know'', and Ray Charles' ''I Can't Stop Loving You''.
