KAYSERI - The largest flag unfurled in midair has been registered with the Guinness Book of Records when Lieutenant Gazali Peltek from the 1st Commando Brigade of Turkish Army in central city of Kayseri unveiled it today.
Lieutenant Peltek received a certificate from Prof. Dr. Orhan Kural, Turkey Representative of the Guinness Book of Records.
The flag measures 18.6 meters by 28.56 meters and weighs 25 kilograms.
This flag record is Turkey's 21st record in the Guinness Book of Records.
Lieutenant Peltek said that the flag record is for all Turkish martyrs.
