ANKARA - ''Main theme of next year's meeting of Turkish-German Cooperation Council (in Berlin) will be energy and environment,'' said Turkish MFA Undersecretary Ali Tuygan.
The 12th meeting of the Council has ended in Ankara today.
Speaking at the closing session of the meeting Tuygan said, ''Germany is one the prominent partners of Turkey in political, economic and cultural wise. We cooperate in many areas especially in trade, investment and tourism.''
''Within the scope of the meeting, we have discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Germany as well as actual situation of Turkey-EU relations,'' he added.
On the other hand, German MFA Undersecretary Reinhard Silberberg emphasized the importance of a cooperation in renewable energy area.
Later on Tuygan and Silberberg signed a joint protocol.
