Turkish Journalists Association Condemns Detention Of Four Turkish Journalists In Iraq

ISTANBUL - Orhan Erinc, the Chairman of the Turkish Journalists Association condemned on Saturday the detention of four Turkish journalists by the U.S. soldiers in Baghdad.
Issuing a written statement, Erinc stated that ''the fact that the detention didn't last long due to the initiatives of Turkish Embassy and the censor put on the photographs taken by our colleagues show the seriousness of the incident. We condemn the incident and hope no such incident will be repeated.''
