GUARD DUTY IN ADABANK
Police took under control directorate general building of Adabank in Mecidikoy in Istanbul, after Banking Regulatory and Supervisory Agency (BRSA) changed the administration of Adabank on Friday. BRSA appointed new members excluding two members of the bank and announced that the bank would carry out its activities under the supervision of the agency. While police and BRSA experts carried out its examination in the bank, security forces took tight measures around the building.

2 MILLIONTH VEHICLE OF TOFAS
Tofas produced the 2 millionth vehicle and held a ceremony in its factory in Bursa on Saturday. Koc Holding executive board chairman Mustafa Koc who delivered a speech at the ceremony said that a new national strategy should be formed regarding Turkish automotive sector. Koc said that Tofas was a leading company in automotive sector since it exported 1.4 billion U.S. dollars of vehicles within two years.

INTERESTING DEVELOPMENT
According to Associated Press (AP), Turkish special forces and American troops started joint manoeuvres for improving border security in the north of Iraq. AP put forward its claim according to the information it received from Gen. David Petreaus, the commander of the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division. This development has been assessed as one dimension of the guarantee given by U.S. Department of Defense which promised that PKK/KADEK terrorists who rejected to benefit from reassociation law, would be eradicated from north of Iraq.

DEPUTY GOVERNOR EARLIER WARNS ABOUT QUAKE
Denizli Deputy Governor Orhan Ozturk earlier issued a decree warning that an earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale could take place in western Denizli province. Yesterday morning an earthquake measuring 5.6 on Richter scale shook Denizli damaging some buildings.

PERSONNEL HUNTING IN ADABANK
One day before the transfer of Imar Bank to the Banking Regulatory and Supervisory Agency (BRSA), a total of 130 high ranking employees of the bank were transferred to Adabank, the other bank of Uzan Group. Now BRSA tries to find out why those employees started to work in Adabank.

ERDOGAN:THERE ARE MANY UNKNOWN THINGS IN IMAR BANK
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan responded to the accusations of Youth Party (GP) leader Cem Uzan for the first time yesterday. Erdogan stated that there were many unknown things and contradictions in the accounts of Imar Bank, which is owned by Uzan Holding.

JOURNALISTS DETAINED IN BAGHDAD
Hurriyet newspaper journalists Yalcin Dogan and Ozdemir Ince, and Dogan News Agency (DHA) correspondents Faruk Balkici and Ferit Aslan were detained by American soldiers and later they were released thanks to the efforts of Turkish embassy. Journalists and correspondents who went to Baghdad and northern Iraq to prepare report for the newspaper were taken into custody by American soldiers and released after one and a half hours.

TURKEY TO BE EFFECTIVE
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul who completed his talks in the United States said that a decision on Turkey's sending soldiers to stability force would be taken by taking into consideration of the country's interests and real political situation and stated that the General Staff would be consulted when taking a final decision on the issue. Initiatives toward Turkey's being effective in the future of Iraq in return for sending soldiers to that country came to the forefront during Gul's talks in the United States.

JOURNEY TO FUTURE IN METU
Middle East Technical University (METU) Technocity which brought together scientific experience with capital, aims to open to the markets of Europe, the U.S. and Japan. A total of 104 companies of Technocity which had an export worth of 2 million dollars annually, target to have an export worth of 10 million dollars this year. METU professors, students and graduates gave the best example of cooperation between science and industry. Turkey's first technopark METU Technocity contributes to economy of the country, while it is also involved in research and development.

U.S. IMPETUOUS, TURKEY VERY SLOW
The contacts of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul in Washington D.C. ended. The U.S. asks Turkey to give a quick answer to its demand of soldiers. Turkey says that it can't give a decision in one-two weeks. Gul stated that a response would be given to the demand of the U.S. to send Turkish soldiers to Iraq by taking the view of General Staff.

WESTERN TURKEY IN PANIC
An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale shook western Denizli province at 4.00 a.m. on Sunday. Another quake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale shook Denizli again at 04.15 a.m. Later two other tremors measuring 5.6 and 4.9 on the Richter scale shook Denizli in the afternoon. People who were in panic spent the night outside. Many houses' walls were cracked in Denizli due to the quake.

GUL:FINAL DECISION TO BE GIVEN BY MILITARY
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul who gave information about his contacts in Washington D.C. said that a response would be given to the U.S. demand for Turkish soldiers after taking the view of General Staff.

TURKEY ASKS WORLD TO EXTEND HELP IN FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION
The government which has been searching methods for fight against malpractice launched initiatives to benefit from experiences of member countries of the United Nations. Prime Ministry Inspection Committee prepared survey forms regarding fight against malpractice and sent them to relevant institutions and organizations of foreign countries. After all data are collected from survey forms, an action plan on fight against malpractice will be prepared.

STATE MINISTER SENER SAYS DOCUMENTS CONCERNING NSC DON'T NEED TO BE
CONCEALED
State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener said that he read all documents concerning the National Security Council (NSC) and stated that those documents did not need to be concealed. Noting that transparency was of great importance for public administration, Sener said that but some points should remain as secret.
