ANKARA - Justice Minister Cemil Cicek said on Thursday that censorship should be lifted, but irresponsible broadcasting should not be allowed too.
Responding to questions of journalists after the ceremony held by Ankara Trade Chamber and Solidarity Platform of Journalists Organizations upon the 95th anniversary of abolishment of censorship, Cicek said that ''swearing or insulting should not be permitted in tv channels.'' If this is the case the tv channel is closed within the rules of law, he said adding that freedoms were not unrestricted in any part of the world.
