ANKARA - State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Thursday that Turkey would play an important role in opening of Mongolia to Europe.
Tuzmen received Mongolian Foreign Ministry's State Secretary Radnaabazaryn Altangerel and accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Tuzmen recalled that he would go to Mongolia to attend Turkish-Mongolian Joint Economic Commission (JEC) Meeting in 2004.
Drawing attention that trade volume between two countries was very low, Tuzmen said that they would be pleased to increase trade volume with a country with which Turkey had historical and cultural ties.
Altangerel said that cooperation between two countries in trade, politics, education, industry and legal field continued.
Noting that no visit had been paid between two countries in the level of prime ministers so far, Altangerel expressed belief that such a visit would contribute to bilateral relations.
