ANKARA - Parliamentary General Assembly approved late on Wednesday the constitutional amendment decreasing the age of eligibility to be a deputy from 30 to 25.
A total of 364 MPs attended the secret vote at the parliament.
While 361 MPs cast their votes in favor of the amendment, 2 of them cast their votes against it and one MP abstained.
The amendment says, ''every Turk over the age of 25 is eligible to be a deputy.''
