WASHINGTON - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul met on Thursday with the members of Senate and House of Representatives in U.S. Congress.
Gul firstly met with Senate Appropriations Committee Member and Republican Party Mississippi Senator Thad Cochran and then with Senate Appropriations Committee Member and Democrat Party North Dakota Senator Byron Dorgan.
Former congress member Bob Livingston who had carried out lobbying activities of Turkey in Washington, Turkey's Washington Ambassador Faruk Logoglu and Turkey's former Washington Ambassador and Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Baki Ilkin accompanied Gul during his contacts in Senate and House of Representatives.
