Gul To Meet With Members Of U.S. Congress

WASHINGTON D.C. - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, who came to the United States upon invitation of U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, will start holding meetings on Wednesday.
Gul will first meet with editors of the Washington Post.
Later, Gul will partake in a luncheon to be hosted in his honor by members of the American-Turkish Council (ATC).
Gul will hold talks with members of the United States-Turkey Friendship Group at the U.S. congress.
Gul's visit to the United States will continue till July 26.
He is scheduled to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Powell, U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, U.S. President George W. Bush's National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Horst Koehler.
Gul is expected to deliver a speech at the Washington Institute on relations between Turkey and the United States, and to come together with representatives of Jewish institutions.
