Parliament To Have Summer Recess On August 1

ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that the parliament would have summer recess on August 1.
Addressing the parliamentary group meeting of his party, Erdogan said that ''our burden is heavy, our responsibilities are limitless. But I believe that we will overcome these problems.''
Calling the deputies to focus on the issues that are on the agenda of the parliament from a sensitive point of view, Erdogan said that ''we have issues on the agenda about forest areas, treasury areas, and the amendments to be made in the Law on Development. This is a busy schedule. There is not much left until August 1, by when the parliament will have summer recess. We have only 8-9 days left. Later, the parliament will have summer recess for 1.5-2 months.''
Erdogan stated that deputies and himself would continue to deal with the problems of the country during the parliamentary recess, adding that the parliament would have a busy week.
