KOCAELI - 198 of the toxic waste barrels found buried under soil in a field in Orhanli hamlet of Tuzla town in Istanbul last week were brought to IZAYDAS (waste disposal facility in Izmit city) to be disposed, sources said on Tuesday.
IZAYDAS Director General Recep Bilal Sengun said around 10 percent of the barrels were full and the rest were empty.
''We will dispose the waste without any problem. There is no risk. Residents of Kocaeli should not feel uneasy,'' Sengun noted.
