ANKARA - World Bank Turkey Director Ajay Chhibber, whose assignment to Turkey will end on August 15, paid a farewell visit to Health Minister Recep Akdag on Monday.
Chhibber came to the Health Ministry together with Andrew Vorkink, who will take over the post from him.
They were paying visits to Turkish officials to bid farewell and to introduce the new Turkey Director, Chhibber said.
Chhibber noted that the Health Ministry and the World Bank worked together during Akdag's term in office.
They had ongoing projects in field of health in Turkey, Chhibber stated.
Chhibber said that their close cooperation and efforts would continue.
Akdag said that the Health Ministry and World Bank made many joint projects.
They were preparing for a new project related with ''transformation program in health'', Akdag noted and expressed belief that the project would be accomplished.
Akdag thanked Chhibber for his contributions and fruitful cooperation and wished success to Vorkink.
