ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Monday that sending Turkish soldiers to Iraq was being debated between Turkey and the United States unofficially, adding that consultations continued.
Replying to questions of reporters, Gul said that the issue should be evaluated by the government.
Gul said, ''our Constitution, understanding of alliance, settlement of stability in Iraq, all these will be taken up.''
The issue would become clear at the end of a broad consultative process, Gul added.
