ANKARA - ''There is no submission regarding Turkey's relations with the EU,'' said Turkish Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul.
Delivering a speech in a meeting at the Ankara Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, Gul stressed that Turkey should advance on its EU path with great self-confidence.
Gul stressed that Turkey achieved important economic successes, stating that Turkey was an important country in its region.
In regard to Iraq, Gul stressed that Turkey wanted a democratic Iraq which ensured political unity and territorial integrity, noting that Turkish government was exerting efforts on this matter.
