GAZIANTEP - ''Terrorist incidents that have occurred in southeastern region of the country will not make a negative impact on basic rights and freedoms,'' said Turkish Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu.
Speaking to A.A correspondent, Aksu noted that there have been promising developments in the country during the past three years, indicating that some tried to prevent Turkish economy from growing further through terrorism.
''Terrorist incidents will not have a negative effect on democracy. We are working to boost freedoms and democracy in the country,'' he stated.
Stating that anti-terrorism law would be submitted to the parliament next week, Aksu said, ''this law will be approved at the parliament. Therefore, our security forces will have a more active role to fight terrorism.''
