TEHRAN - Iran's hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Friday that arch-enemy Israel was a "permanent threat", but also asserted the Jewish state was "on the road to being eliminated".
"The Zionist regime is an injustice and by its very nature a permanent threat. It was created to threaten the region. Its continued existence is the continuation of this threat," he told a conference in Tehran on supporting the Palestinians.
"Whether you like it or not, the Zionist regime is on the road to being eliminated," he added.
