ANKARA - The first round of Turkey-Lebanon Free Trade Agreement talks were completed on Friday.
Releasing a statement, Treasury Undersecretary said, ''prior to talks, a delegation headed by Foreign Trade Undersecretariat Director General Cemalettin Damlaci for European Union (EU) Affairs and Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon Celalettin Kart visited Economy and Trade Minister Marwan Hamade of Lebanon. During the bilateral talks, the text of the Free Trade Agreement, which was submitted to Lebanon by Turkey earlier, was taken up in detail. The sides have reached agreement on the text in principle.''
''During the talks, the sides decided to hold the second round of talks in Ankara in October or November of 2003,'' the statement added.
