ANKARA - Human Rights Watch's researcher for Turkey Jonathan Sugden was deported on Wednesday.
Sources said on Thursday that Sugden did not have a valid authorization to be carrying out human rights work in the southeastern region of Turkey where he traveled on a tourist visa.
Stressing that any prevention of representatives of human rights organizations was out of question, sources said that some certain security concerns, however, could not be ignored.
They added that citizens earlier complaint about Sugden, a national of Britain, for his actions provoking people against the state.
