ANKARA - Ozden Toker, sister of former Deputy Prime Minister (and professor of physics) Erdal Inonu, said on Thursday that treatment of her brother is still going on and that they got good news. The illness of Prof. Inonu was diagnosed as acute eritroleukemia.
Speaking to A.A correspondent, Toker said Inonu was currently under treatment in M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston city of the United States. ``I have talked to my brother on the phone last night. We hope to get good results,`` she said.
Meanwhile, Inonu`s private physician in Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty Prof. Burhan Ferhanoglu told A.A correspondent that ``acute eritroleukemia`` was diagnosed in Inonu due to the symptom linked with anemia. He said Inonu went to Houston for an alternative treatment which has not yet been performed in Turkey.
