ANKARA - French Development Agency (AFD) and Turkiye Kalkinma Bankasi (TKB) signed a loan agreement of 20 million Euro, it was reported on Thursday.
TKB released a statement and said the loan agreement was signed on Wednesday noting that, ''thanks to the fund, TKB will be able to provide finance to Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (KOBIs) in various cities in eastern and southeastern regions.''
TKB DG Abdullah Celik, Deputy DG Cansel Inankur, Deputy DG of AFD Michel Jacquier responsible for AFD Operations, Director of Mediterranean and Middle East Department Jean-Pierre Barbier and AFD Turkey Director Regis Marodon attended the signing ceremony.
The statement said AFD, which is a state institution, provides finance to development, and noted that, ''TKB, founded in 1975, is the only public development bank of Turkey. Providing finance to KOBIs acting in the areas of industry and tourism sectors is among the missions of the bank.''
