KARAKOY - Fire which broke out in Karakoy village in Mustafakemalpasa town of Marmara city of Bursa destroyed all dwellings apart from 15 houses and a mosque, it was reported on Thursday.
In the early hours of the morning, residents of the village started to look for their goods and their ''memories'' under the debris.
''The reason of the fire could not be clarified yet,'' sources remarked.
Entrances and exists from the village are checked by gendermary forces.
Ummu Gulsum Sen, a resident of the village who passed the night in a tent, said her house was totally burned down and her animals were lost.
Yusuf Caglayan, member of Turkish Red Crescent Bursa Local Branch, told A.A correspondent that they have set up 28 tents in the region and foodstuff needs of the villagers would be met.
No casualties reported after the fire.
