NEW YORK - The 8th of MayFest -- an event organized by ''Moon and Stars Project'' to promote Turkish arts and culture -- will be held in New York between April 14th and June 10th.
Several concerts and exhibitions will be held during the MayFest 2006.
The festival will take start with Fazil Say's piano recital at Metropolitan Art Museum on Friday. Timur Selcuk, Derya Turkan & Sokratis Sinopoulos and Ozan Aksoy Trio will also give concerts.
A sculpture exhibition by Mehmet Ayanoglu, another exhibition of paintings and drawings by Yasemin Kackar-Demirel will also be held.
Moon and Stars Project was founded in 2002 in New York. It is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to highlighting the changing face of Turkish arts and culture and establishing a two-way cultural interaction between the United States and Turkey.
