ANKARA - Republican People's Party (CHP) will ask for opening of a parliamentary investigation about Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim.
Speaking in a joint news conference, CHP deputy group chairmen Oguz Oyan and Mustafa Ozyurek claimed that Yildirim misused his authority as a minister as he continued his contacts with the companies owned by his children and brought privileges for that companies during his term in office.
Ozyurek said that a parliamentary investigation had to be launched about Yildirim, adding that they would submit their motion to this end to the parliament on July 22.
Ozyurek asserted that Yildirim should either resign or to be dismissed.
