ANKARA - The details of the official visit of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul to the U.S. next week started to become clear.
Gul will also meet with U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney during this high ranking visit which will be held for the first time after the crisis that erupted between Turkey and the U.S. due to the incident on July 4 in Sulaymaniyah.
Gul who will go to the U.S. on Tuesday, will meet with representatives of Turkish associations, Jewish institutions and some Congress members on Wednesday.
Gul is expected to meet separately with U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney and U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell on Thursday.
Gul can also meet with U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.
Gul will meet with Condoleezza Rice, the national security consultant of U.S. President George W. Bush on Friday. Gul who is expected to meet with IMF officials the same day, will talk about Turkey-U.S. relations, Middle East and Iraq in the Washington Institute.
Gul is expected to return to Turkey on Saturday.
