Pakistani Prime Minister Jamali Receives State Minister Tuzmen

ISLAMABAD/ANKARA - State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, who is currently in Islamabad for the Economic Cooperation Organization member countries' meeting, was received by Pakistani Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Thursday.
State Minister Tuzmen said in the meeting that studies on preferential trade agreement had to start to further improve the bilateral trade and flights of Turkish Airlines to Pakistan had to increase.
Tuzmen also proposed in the meeting that cooperation had to be made between the two countries to improve the trade between the two countries.
Pakistani Prime Minister Jamali said in his part during the meeting that the difficulties in transportation had to be sorted out in order to increase the bilateral trade.
Jamali said ''banking is an important issue, we must take up cooperation in this issue by giving it priority.''
Tuzmen and Pakistani Prime Minister Jamali reached a consensus of opinion to make cooperation in trade towards second and third countries, while Turkey promised to extend technical support to Pakistan about free trade zone.
Pakistani Prime Minister Jamali said that increasing the trade volume between the two countries was also Pakistan's wish, adding that the Pakistani government would do its best in that issue.
