ISTANBUL - An army helicopter crashed into a factory in northwest Turkey on Monday, killing the four soldiers on board, local officials said.
The helicopter fell on a steel factory in the town of Uzunciftlik, about 120 kilometers (75 miles) east of Istanbul, the town's mayor, Yasar Sonmez, told CNN-Turk television.
The death toll was initially at three soldiers, but rescue workers later found a fourth victim in the wreckage of the chopper inside the building, military officials told the Anatolia news agency.
Two factory workers were injured in the crash, CNN-Turk said.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear, but Anatolia quoted witnesses as saying the aircraft exploded in mid-air before crashing to the ground.
